I always find it tough deciding what to wear on halloween, and usually just end up drawing whiskers on my face and going as a cat (how original). Its now the day before halloween and I still have not made up my mind as to what I should wear!!! So if your like me and are browsing the intern the night before franticly trying to throw together something. Maybe I can help. My friend asked me to do had makeup for costume ideas and I thought i would share it with you in the hope that it may inspire some of you.
She asked me to make her into a beaten up doll kinda thing, and this is what happened....
First I mixed some white face paint with foundation to create a paler porcelain like appearance, and then put on some blusher to make her cheeks seem overly rosy.

First I mixed some white face paint with foundation to create a paler porcelain like appearance, and then put on some blusher to make her cheeks seem overly rosy.
Then, to create the appearance of larger eyes I used the same white paint to add a thick white line under the eyes.
I then added some eyeshadow to her upper lids. Used a lighter purple from my accessorise pallet and for the lid and then added the colour creep from the naked pallet just above the crease to create the illusion that the eye is slightly bigger than it actually is. finally I blended it all together with the darker purple from the accessorise pallet and using the lightest colour from that pallet, added a highlight to the corner of the eye.
Using a liquid eyeliner I drew a line along the bottom of the white section I painted on earlier, I then connected this line to one I drew on the upper lash line and created a small wing. I then stuck on some eye lashes to the upper lash line, ideally I would have stuck some on to the line under the eye but i ran out of eyelashes!! So I drew them on with the same liquid eye liner instead. And I filled in the eyebrows to make them stand out a bit more.
To create doll like lips I started off by covering them with the foundation mixture to blend them in with the skin. I then drew on some smaller doll shaped lips with a lip liner
Now for the bruises! I started off by dabbing some lipstick (any purple toned lipstick will do) onto the skin in the places where she wanted the bruises to be. I then went and blended the two colours from the eyebrow pallet (or you can use matte eyeshadow) over the top.
To finish iff the look I just put her hair in pig tails and tied in some mismatched ribbons.
Thanks for reading I hope that this can help some people with deciding on what to go as for Halloween I would have loved to do more of these but its a bit late now!!
Happy Halloween!!
